The Mediterranean charm of Ca la Xara is perceived instantly. The façades of the houses with their iron balconies and painted in typical Mediterranean colours reinforce the feeling of village life, which expands along Ca la Xara.

Thick walls and its windows, some with decorative bars, exhibit the Arabic roots of Spanish architecture. The roof tiles, covering the saddle roofs, emphasize the simplicity of Ca la Xara.

A sense of spaciousness is present in all parts of the house. On the ground floor, the ceiling (vaulted ceilings and beams, lined with wood) reaches a height of approximately 2´90 m. On the first floor, the ceiling stands out with wooden beams painted in white and reaches a maximum height of around 5 m.

The interior of the houses are in the same Mediterranean style as the exterior. Inside, a number of brickwork elements are integrated, such as the staircases of the entire house, the living-room shelves and the fireplace, which warms a cold winter’s day.

The kitchen is a reminder of past quality. Its extractor hood, made of brickwork, stands out of the main wall, providing the place with an exclusive character. A sliding door made of solid wood with a window separates the kitchen from the dining-room, where an antique restored larder can be found. A unique space to store that treasured crockery from the past.
